These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Find My Money LLC website and services. By using the site or engaging us as a client, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Find My Money LLC provides California asset-recovery services, including searching for unclaimed property in your name, preparing and filing claims with the California State Controller's Office, and following up with the State until your claim is resolved.

2. Fee structure

Our standard fee is a contingency percentage of any amount recovered from the State on your behalf. The exact percentage is disclosed in your representation agreement before any work begins. We never charge upfront fees, and you owe nothing if no funds are recovered.

3. Representation agreement

Before we begin filing on your behalf, you will sign a written representation agreement that sets out the scope of services, the contingency rate, and your responsibilities. That agreement is the controlling document for the engagement.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide truthful information, to respond to reasonable document requests, and to refrain from filing the same claim through another firm or service while we are representing you.

5. Eligibility

Our services are limited to property held by the California State Controller. We do not file claims in other states.

6. Communications

By submitting your information through our website or signing a representation agreement, you consent to receive communications from us by phone, text, and email related to your claim. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

7. No legal or tax advice

Find My Money is an asset-recovery firm, not a law firm or accounting firm. Nothing we provide constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice. For estate, tax, or other legal matters, please consult a qualified professional.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and the "Find My Money" service mark — is owned by Find My Money LLC or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites (such as the BBB, Google, or claimit.ca.gov). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Find My Money's liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or our services is limited to the contingency fees actually paid by you in the engagement.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California.

12. Termination

You may terminate your engagement with us at any time by written notice. We may decline or terminate an engagement at our discretion, in which case any fees already earned on funds recovered will be honored under the representation agreement.
